Our 73 year old female client had just finished a round of golf when she was struck by another golf cart that was backing up, knocking her to the ground. The driver of the golf cart claimed that he was very careful, and had looked in his rearview mirror before backing. The evidence showed that this claim was without merit. She underwent surgery to correct an impacted femoral neck fracture. The surgery was successful, and after physical therapy she went on to resume most of her activities of daily living without major disruption.
